From Barbados with Love” at Bahamas Film festival.

The Bajan film “From Barbados with Love” was well received at last week’s Bahamas Film festival. The movie which received a standing ovation stars musician Magnet Man, Victor Clifford and Tracy Harvey. The film is Barbados’ first feature film and was written and directed by Miguel Antonio Drayton and was produced by an Australian Film Production Company. In addition to starring Magnet Man composed and produced the films soundtrack which has been nominated for an award at 2007 Barbados Music Awards. He also sang at the Festivals premiere and was a panelist on the “Film and Music Panel” where he was joined by the likes of Jason Lampkin who works with famed director Spike Lee and James Dooley a composer who has worked on the films “The Da Vinci Code,” “Gladiator,” and “Pirates of the Caribbean.” The film festival was held at the Atlantis theatre, on Paradise Island and stars such as Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery were in attendance. source:islandevents
