Tarrus Riley Lands On Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest

Tarrus Riley is the latest addition to the line-up for Red Stripe Reggae Sumfest, slated to take place from July 19th to 21st in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This will not be his first time performing at the festival but he readily confesses that he feels great joy being asked to be on the show. “Reggae Sumfest will give me the opportunity to express my talent. It is a good platform to showcase good music and I am happy to be on the show again this year," Riley says.

He declares that for 15 years, the festival has brought numerous artistes from overseas and that Jamaican acts have been able to perform alongside them. This is very motivating for local talent, he says. He promises an entertaining and uplifting performance of his hits from his catalogue. VP Records released his 15 track album Parables, that was produced on October 21st, 2006 by Dean Frazer of Canon Productions. The album put him in a place of his own, shining bright with his own sound and witty wordplay on various songs. A legend in the making, this young reggae artist built his musical experience from his father, Jimmy Riley, a veteran in the Reggae Industry. source: Technorati Cosmos: related links
