Lady Saw is currently in Paris promoting the film Made in Jamaica, directed by French filmmaker Jérome Laperrousaz. The film was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 6, 2006. Made in Jamaica is a feature length documentary telling how a small island nation of only three million people has made music that resonates around the world. The film tells the story of how reggae music became such a worldwide phenomenon and provides a powerful portrait of the leaders of the movement.
The film showcases performances by the reggae and dancehall artists including: Lady Saw, Third World, Beres Hammond Sly & Robbie Bounty Killa, Elephant Man, Vybz Kartel and the late Bogle. The original soundtrack for Made in Jamaica features Lady Saw's singles Bad Gal and France.
