Mr Vegas Releases New Album "Heat It Up"

Mr. Vegas officially released his latest album, “Hot It Up” yesterday (September 11) in New York, where he also showcased his versatility with an unplugged set. The event was filmed and will be aired by MTV Tempo.

”Hot It Up” hit store shelves on August 28, in the wake of heavy rotation of its international breakout hit tracks, “Hot Wuk” and “Tek Weh Yuh Self.” Vegas executive produced the album, which also features productions from Sly & Robbie and Stephen McGregor, and appearances from Jovi Rockwell, Lexus and Kartel.

Mr. Vegas is one of only a handful of Caribbean artists who have consistently enjoyed crossover airplay and attention, from the very beginning of his career. He has been busy since the release of Hot It Up, making non-stop public appearances across the U.S. and most recently headlining Reggae Sumfest in Jamaica, and On The Reggae Tip and Irie Jamboree – both sold out events in New York City.

Fans can get up close and personal with the veteran dancehall star when he embarks on the official album tour, later this month. The lead single called “Hot Wuk” is currently exploding all over the radio and the video has gotten nearly 2 million YouTube views (The 12” vinyl is also available from Traffic). Mr. Vegas has performed for over 5 million people over the last decade, he’s a mainstay artist of the Trinidad Carnival and continually on the Caribbean Charts. “Hot It Up” is the fourth full length release from Vegas and it’s his hottest album to date.
