Strut Magazine takes over the catwalk at Fiction Nightclub

Fashionistas, social butterflies and members of the entertainment industry were among the scores of persons inside the Fiction Nightclub last Thursday night. The occasion was the launch of Strut magazine. Strut falls under the Saint International umbrella and will feature faces of fashion from Jamaica that are doing well on the international catwalks.

According to Saint International CEO Deiwight Peters, Strut will represent style, sophistication and elegance in Jamaica. "The magazine will show everything Jamaican. On the cover of our first issue is Sigail Currie, who is based between London (Elite London) and South Africa (Zero Models) and she has been doing really well," Peters told The Gleaner.

Strut will be available at various locations across Jamaica initially, with plans to expand overseas, Peters said. "After the first year of publication, we will be looking to take the product to Saint's events in Europe, Africa and the United States," Peters informed The Gleaner. "Locally, the magazine will be available at select outlets at high-end boutiques and entertainment spots," he added.

Peters has another launch planned with the unveiling of the magazine at the Courtleigh Auditorium on Friday. Familiar international fashion faces present were Venecia Bennett from IMG World Wide, Kareen Taylor, Fashion Face 2006; Kanhai Condison, an actor who was featured in the popular TV series, Generations, and Doren Bailey, who has appeared on shows with Fendi and Brunello Cuccinelli.
