Kanye West definitely stole the show last night at the 2009 MTV VMAs.

When Taylor Swift took the stage after winning the Best Female Video award, she began to give her acceptance speech.

After Swift, looking shocked, beat out Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Pink and Beyonce for the honor, she took the stage and accepted the award. As she was thanking MTV, that's when Kanye jumped on stage, took her mic, and told everyone that "Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!"

Swift, 19, stood silently holding her trophy, cameras cut to Beyonce looking stunned in the crowd, and MTV then cut to break.

Who knew he was such a Beyonce fan?

Well, his douchey move left Taylor speechless and fans upset with him.

But just hours after the incident, Kanye has taken to his official blog to clear things up and issue an apology. We're glad he listened to his PR people.

Says Kanye:

"I'M SOOOOO SORRY TO TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER FANS AND HER MOM. I SPOKE TO HER MOTHER RIGHT AFTER AND SHE SAID THE SAME THING MY MOTHER WOULD'VE SAID. SHE IS VERY TALENTED!
