The most sophisticated, chic event of the year, Hennessy artistry slated for Saturday November 21 at the Cable and Wireless Golf Academy is a coup for J. Wray and Nephew Limited, distributors of the Hennessy Cognac line. The Hennessy artistry event has received the thumbs up from Moet-Hennessy, the international producer of Hennessy, which selected Jamaica of all the distributing Caribbean islands to host this unique party experience.
Debbian Spence, Brand Manager at J. Wray and Nephew Limited, is excited about the event and the recognition of the value of Hennessy to the Jamaican entertainment scene. In her recent presentation at the event launch on Friday November 13, she advised that the Hennessy brand is supported by Jamaicans and has been doing well in the spirits market locally. In support of the brand presence in the market and this new platform Pascal Bony of Moet-Hennessy will lead a delegation to Jamaica to experience Hennessy Kingston cocktails at the Hennessy artistry event in Jamaica.
Hennessy artistry is intertwined with the suave smooth elements of the Hennessy Cognac brand which is, as expected, a feature of the event. Having established five city cocktails with a Hennessy base named after great cities, Paris, Moscow, Miami, Shanghai and London, the brand now seeks to locate the right mix that encapsulates the essence of the enigma that is Kingston, Jamaica.
The party is slated to be a dancehall affair with dancehall fashionista Lena British along with Chris Hardy hosting guests on one of dancehall’s hottest black carpets. The event also features a multi level dance floor with Zj Liquid, DJ Shine and the Immortal Stone Love on the wheels of steel promising a great party vibe. Patrons will also be treated to performances from Dancehall favourites, Bounty Killa, Beenie Man, Lady Saw, Elephant Man, Mavado and Queen Ifrica.
Andrew Price, Marketing Manager of J. Wray and Nephew Limited confirmed that Hennessy has been adopted by Jamaican’s as the Cognac of choice. He indicated that Hennessy artistry is a platform that enables a fusion of cultural elements toward total satisfaction.
It is a unique global endeavour that encapsulates a huge variety of musical talents on one stage whilst giving patrons a chance to discover Hennessey Cognac through the art of mixing. The concept has been staged in cities such as Berlin, Santa Domingo, and cities all across the United States.
Hennessy artistry takes place on Saturday November 21 at the Cable and Wireless Golf Club. Tickets are $2200 presold and $2500 at the gate. Hennessy encourages a safe party environment and as such encourages patrons to drink responsibly. The event is rated 18 years and over and will see a strict No Weapons policy being enforced.
