THE STAGE is all set for the 2008 Digicel Barbados Reggae Festival, which runs from April 20 to 29, 2008. Al Gilkes, one of the directors of FAS Entertainment Services, indicated that only two contracts remained to be signed for a record of 15 international reggae acts booked for the three events.
The festival will kick off on Sunday, April 20 with the Digicel Reggae Beach Party, this year at the historic Drill Hall Beach. Following on Friday, April 25 the Vintage Reggae Show and Dance at the Sir Garfield Gymnasium,vintage-reggae-logo.png allowing fans to sit and watch, or dance along to the music of their favourite reggae singers from yesteryear and climaxing at Farley Hill National Park on Sunday, April 27 with another massive all-day Reggae on the Hill.
A host of recognised as well as aspiring Barbadian reggae acts and DJs are also being engaged to share the stages at all three events. Ticket prices and approved box offices will soon be announced.
