As the spectacular 2007 edition of the Barbados Music Awards came to an end, a private ceremony took place before a much smaller audience which included government officials, the media and the family of Entertainer of the Year winner Rihanna, who was presented with the first ever official Barbados Music Awards ring, created by the official jeweller, Mr. Christian Lewis.
The ring, which features several yellow and white diamonds set on white and yellow gold, has a retail value of over $10,000, and is a one-of a kind piece. According to word from Rihanna's representatives, and from the Bajan superstar herself during the presentation, the platinum-selling star simply adores the ring.
